Welcome to Global Christian Institute

“The GCI training programme was absolutely fantastic” - G.K., London

“My church is keen to host another GCI short course” - Pastor A. P.

What GCI Offers

Global Christian Institute (GCI) is a Christian education, training and resource ministry with emphasis on cutting edge training, ministerial ordination and charity registration services. We have been divinely mandated to support pastors by equipping, empowering and motivating local churches.

Dispersed Church Training

GCI specialises in serving local churches, responding to invitations to conduct bespoke church seminars, provide leadership development and deliver ministry training (short term or long term). We also assist with setting up church-based Bible schools in local churches and in different cities.

Having led the ministry of South London Christian College for over 20 years, we have redesigned our training under the banner of Global Christian Institute with a focus on dispersed training and establishing Bible training centres in various churches.

We offer a diverse range of seminars, short courses or full length practical theology programmes, as we discuss and negotiate with church leaders to tailor the training to local needs. We encourage church leaders to discuss with us what would work best for their church or simply to host a one-off training seminar as a taster day. Courses are currently running in church training hubs in places like London, Plymouth and Gillingham (Kent).

We aim to reach every area of the UK with our training, so take advantage of this opportunity to study with us in one of our growing number of local learning centres around the UK or take the initiative to host a training centre.

Ordination and Ministerial Licensing

We offer ordination and ministerial licensing to those who are genuinely called of God. Ordination is normally for those serving in full active capacity as a church pastor, not just for general leaders or ministers.

The ordination process lasts up to 12 months from application. It includes a probation period for candidates, during which there will be assessment, mentoring and supervision. There will also be assessment visits to the candidate’s church or ministry. Following final approval for ordination, a date will be set and the ordination ceremony will normally take place at the candidate’s church or ministry.

UK Charity Registration Services

As there are many new churches and ministries that struggle with the process of becoming a registered charity, we offer a complete service in this area. We have also received authorisation from the Charity Commission to offer training and refresher courses to church trustees regarding often-neglected key aspects of their role and the ever-changing regulations of the Commission.
